Henry Devanny was a blacksmith and many time the Kelly boys would leave their horses to be shod by him while Mary would make a batch of scones for them while they waited. Henry is also credited in some quarters to have made the Kellys armour. It is also understood that Henry invented quite a number of useful things, but never patented them.
